GREY COUNT, away fast and saving ground throughout, drew into a clear lead when entering the stretch and, holding on well, stalled off PROPH. The latter, also quick ..to begin, bore out on the turn and, closing well when straightened in the stretch, was wearing down the winner. CHENAULT began slowly, came through on the inside in the stretch and finished boldly. MONON LAD moved up in the stretch, but tired in the Jijte. stages. WANDA GABLE swerved repeatedly, was in close quarters on the-stretch turn and tired in the drive. BILLIONAIRE had speed, but ran out badly on the turn and was cased. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. PAT C., under mild restraint for a half mile, responded to light pressure after straightening up in the "stretch and tired after getting to the front, but outlasted TRANSIT LADY. The latter had speed from the start, but gradually gave way to the winner in the stretch, yet held on well and was gaining on the victor at the end. CHEROKEE RED dropped out of it on the turn, but closed fast and was going strongest in the late stages. EREBUS raced well. KATHRYN WATTLE had no mishaps. DIE HARD saved much ground and failed to keep up in the stretch. MISS SPIDER was taken back. THISTLE DINA had a rough trip. SURCOUF, weaklv handled, was far back throughout. SHOOTIN HIGH, away fast and displaying fine speed, opened up a good advantage before reaching the turn, swerved out slightly when entering the stretch and, continuing strongly when straight, held the field safe. FOOLISH MOMENT, also quick to get going and having speed, was under snug restraint on the turn, but was shaken up in the stretch and finished with little left. MANNA MISS raced evenly. EVENING TIDE was never stroncly persevered with. LOCKSTEP was on the inside in the stretch. ALL ROUND showed little. BOUNCING ALONG was far back throughout. VISIGOTH, away slowly and badly outrun for three-eighths, began to move up when racing wide on the stretch turn, came around the field when straightened for the final three-sixteenths and had something left. FIRST ENTRY, forced to lose much ground, was under strong pressure after reaching the final five-sixteenths and held on well. MAMAS CHOICE, a factor from the start, dropped back slightly when entering the stretch and closed fast through the final eighth. MY BLAZE forced the early pace under light restraint, was slightly forced back by AUNT MYRTLE on the stretch turn and tired after getting to the front. SANGREAL had fine speed from the start, swerved out slightly entering the stretch and held on well, though outmatched by the leaders. BANISTER, badly outrun for five-eighths and brought to the outside in the stretch, closed with fine speed. WISE DUKE had no mishaps and could not improve his position. HE DID tired. BOSTON PAL pulled up lame. SILAS was never prominent. NOBLE STAR and JUDGE KAVANAGH delayed the start. ARIEL CROSS, well in hand for about five-eighths, took a short lead after getting through on the inside approaching thc stretch and when racing a trifle wide the final three-sixteenths, briefly gave way to COLDSTREAM, but outfinished him. though failing to hold the winner. COLDSTREAM had fine speed from the start, raced LIKEWISE and ERIN TORCH into submission and, upon regaining the lead in the stretch, tired and was not punished. SAFE AND SOUND raced well. WHISKOLO had no mishaps. ERIN TORCH and LIKEWISE displayed speed for about five-eighths. The latter, badly outrun for three-quarters, made up ground rapidly thereafter and was wearing down the winner. CUTIE FACE, quick to begin, was in hand for five-eighths and held on fairly well. HOGANS FOX, placed on the outside at the start, showed a fair effort. CORNER BOY tired after showing speed to the stretch. PRE WAR quit. Overweight Buddie Treacy, 1 pound. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. GAY DOG, under mild restraint for a half mile, lost ground in the last three-eighths and held on well. LISTENING forced the early pace under restraint, took command gradually and continued well to the final sixteenth, where she tired. LUCY was in close quarters in the stretch and finished fast when clear. WATONGA tired. PAUL T.. placed on the outside at the start, was never a factor and unseated his rider after passing the finish.
