I JAMAICA TURF NOTES 8 M. L. Schwartz Bold Venture left for Louisville on Saturday afternoon and will be given his final test for the Derby over the Churchill Downs track. W. S. Kilmers Ned Reigh, in charge of Jack Whyte, is scheduled to leave for Louisville on Sunday. At the same time will go Teufel, owned by the Wheatley Stable, and the Belair Studs Granville. H. P. Headleys Hollyrood is scheduled to leave on Monday morning. C. V. Whitney was an early Belmont Park visitor and, after witnessing his horses breeze .journeyed direct to Jamaica to witness the Wood Memorial. Charles McCulIoch of Chicago was among the visitors for the first big three-year-old race of the East. John Hertz was a first time visitor and stated that his horses would swing into action within the next few days. Dan Mahoney, publisher of the Miami News, was among the visitors. Albert Lasker and his son. Edward, were among thi early clubhouse arrivals. W. S. Rogers of the Texas Oil Co., was among the early visitors. Abe Livingston, well known player and commissioner, was taken ill as he arrived at the trpok, but recovered and decided to pass lin tho doctors recommendation and staved to witness the Wood. F. M. Kellv. well known to the turf a few years bck. is to return to racing with a Rtahlp of horses within a short- time. T. F. Swords, who will race in New England, hps taken a contract on Tommy Queen, Jr.. an nnnrentice that has had some riding exnerienne. Fool Em. a two-year-old, owned by the Calumet Farm Stable, was shipped to Lexington. Ky.. to the farm to be turned out fter sustaining injuries. 1
