SOME DEVIL made up ground steadily on the inside and was easily best of the others. JAY A. was slow to get going, but closed ground under urging. PROUD SANTA tired badly in the stretch. EASTER TOMMY, saved in the early running, came fast to find an opening rounding the stretch turn and, wearing down the early leaders, drew away near the finish. ALAWITT was in close quarters in the back stretch and again in the stretch, but raced strongly to the finish to show a fine effort. ALSISTO set the pace under slight restraint, but barely lasted to sava third place. LAPLAND was forced to make his move on the outside and lost much ground, but finished fast and gamely. HATTIE MAE tired in the stretch. MOON ROSE, DODIE and ONLY GEORGE also tired in the stretch. BON MOON was in close quarters all through the first half mile and had no chance. CHICA was in close quarters around the first turn and dropped back to last place, but came very fast after going half the distance to head CANNY SCOT in the. stretch and held HAPPY HUNTER safe under urging. HAPPY HUNTER was in close quarters on the inside during the back stretch run, came fast when clear and was probably best. ALMAHA was shut off rounding the far turn, but came again on the outside and was going strongly at the finish. CANNY SCOT was used up getting to the front of POLVOS PRIDE and tired in the strctdi. LOOK OUT BELOW tired. NOTIFY had a rather rough trip. POLVOS PRIDE .set the early pace, but was shut off when tiring after going a half mile. Scratched 25114 Sweet Mayme, 106". MAUVE DECADE, off quickly, took a good lead in the back stretch and, given a breathing spell, had enough left at the finish to easily hold her opposition safe. BONAGAI was crowded back at the start and dropped out of it, but made up ground steadily in the back stretch and outfinished TYNEMOUTH. The latter tired in the run home. CALAVERAS was outrun for half the distance, then came very fast and, closing strongly on thefcutsid through the final eighth, got to the front near the end to win under urging. ORRA was badly outrun ti the last quarter, then came very fast on the inside and, although in close quarters while attempting to gel through between horses, squeezed through a narrow opening in the last thirty yards to finish very fast. MAE JOSS opened up a good lead in the early running and held on fairly well. SKIPTON was never far away and finished close up. PROCLIVITY tired badly in the stretch.
