JAMAICA HANDICAP REVIVAL Five Candidates for This Event to Be Run Saturday in Victorian Handicap Monday. NEW YORK, N. Y., April 25 Five of the candidates for the Jamaica Handicap, of six furlongs, for three-year-olds and over, which will be revived with ,000 added after a lapse of three years, at Jamaica, on the coming: Saturday will be given public trials for that feature in the Victorian Handicap, a sprint at three-quarters, headline offering on Mondays card at the Metropolitan Jockey Club grounds. Of the eight in the Victorian, Black Buddy, Plat Eye, Preeminent, Exhibit and Sgt. Byrne are probables in- the week-end Jamaica Handicap. The Jamaica is one of the pair of the stakes revived by tbe Metropolitan Jockey Club since racings renaissance in the Empire State. The other is the Rosedale Stakes, a filly event, which will be run on the final day of the meeting, May 9. The Jamaica closed with thirty-five nominations on the February 3 deadline and with ,000 in added money, is one of the principal sprint offerings of the New York season.
