The latter slipped through on the inside, saved much ground and had no mishaps. CLINGENDAAL, well up in the early running, had no" mishaps. Start rood and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. . CYNWYD improved her position steadily through the stretch, responded in the final strides and. wore down FLYING GYPSY in the last jump. FLYING GYPSY was rushed into command going to the first turn, was eased along under steady restraint, came slightly wide turning for home and held on gamely. THATCH improved his position from a slow beginning and finished with a rush. BRIGHT CHANCE came through on the inside at the end. ABNER began slowly. STAR SHADOW finished fast on the inside. SUN APOLLO came to the outside in the stretch. SHINING SUN quit. YANKEE SKIPPER met with repeated early interference. LEGION broke rapidly and had no mishaps. NIPPONESE, on the inside, raced greenly. DIRECT raced greenly. SOPHIA TUCKER Has away poorly. CARDINALIS and CANDLELIGHT were in early trouble. The latter raced in close pursuit of the early pace, assumed command at -the eighth post and held on gamely. DELPHINIUM forced the pace from the start after breaking from outside of the stalls, raced TINTAGEL into defeat and held on well. NED REIGH was in close quarters going to the first turn. BRIGHT PLUMAGE had no mishaps. HOLLYROOD quit badly in the stretch run and was not persevered with. TINTAGEL had high larly speed, but quit badly. MALBROUK broke froih outside the stalls, showed early speed and quit. PALMA had no mishaps.
