DONNA BONITA went to the front at once and, saving ground in the stretch, gamely withstood the challenge of BILL THE KID to win under urging. BILL THE KID moved up in determined fashion on the outside ot the winner after entering the stretch, but hung near the finish. ROLLING SHOT closed ground steadily and was going well at the end. REAL CLEAR also made up much ground. LOW BALL tired after making a strong move around the far turn. Overweight — Real Clear, 4 pounds; Morseth, 1; Capable, 2; Bawtry, 5. MAYLITE, improved her position steadilv while saving ground where possible and getting through an opening between SCRIP MONEY and MUCKER in the stretch, bested the former. SCRIP MONEY came very fast on the outside around the stretch turn to take a short lead in the final eighth and probably would have won with a more experienced rider. MUCKER drew into a short lead when SIRLOIN tired, but weakened near the end. DROLE POLLY and KATIE BELLE were done after going half a mile.
