I JAMAICA TURF NOTES S « Stake books for the Belmont Park meeting were distributed among the horsemen at Jamaica. R. Workman left for Pimlico to ride but before leaving received an offer from Messrs. Bohn and Markey, owners of Grand Slam, to pilot that colt in the Derby. Workman was slated to ride Sation here in the Jamaica Handicap Saturday. Trainer James Fitzsimmons will leave for Louisville Thursday to saddle his three charges in the Derby. He will return to New York immediately after the running. Tom Thorp, who will officiate as a stew-| ard at Narragansett, left for that point Wednesday.
