LATEST DERBY PRICES ! 4 4 NEW YORK, N. Y., April 29.— Frank J. Cosgrove, New York commissioner, shortened the price today of Brevity, Kentucky Derby favorite, in his future book to 7 to 5. Granville remains the 6 to 1 second choice, with Banister and Teufel equal third choices at 8 to 1. Bracketed at 10 to 1 are Bien Joli, The Fighter, Coldstream and Indian Broom. Although Bien Joli is generally considered E. R. Bradleys ace, Cosgrove holds him at a longer price than his stablemate, Banister, probably on reports that trainer H. J. Thompson considers the latter the better colt at the Derby distance. Cosgrove quotes the other probable Derby starters as follows: Bold Venture, 12 to 1; He Did, 15 to 1; San-greal, 40 to 1; Merry Pete, Gold Seeker, Holl Image, Silas and Dnieper, 50 to 1; For est Play, 500 to 1.
