RIVERSIDE PARK NOTES | g fc William Emerson, who raced a division of the stable of H. C. Rumage in Texas during the winter, wired in for stalls for four head, which included the stake winners Our Count and Bold Lover. The Three Ds Stock Farm, which formerly asked for stalls for nine head, wrote today for stalls for an additional six horses, which will make fifteen head that the Texas establishment will race here in charge of John V. Pons. Presiding steward E. K. Thornton announced here that saliva tests would be made here this spring. General manager William P. Kyne, in a letter from Bay Meadows, stated that he would need over a hundred stalls for horses that would be shipped here at the conclusion of the Bay Meadows meeting. Recovery, the fleet four-year-old filly that races in the colors of G. Emick, local sportsman, was moved to Riverside Park from Emicks farm on Monday. Recovery, which was campaigned in Chicago last summer, ran third to Myrtlewood at Arlington Park when the latter established the track record of 1:09%. Recovery was fired here last fall and in her preliminary trials shows no sign of the leg trouble that ailed her last fall. Jockey R. Bohn, who rode with some success at Hot Springs, has been here for the past week and is keeping in condition by galloping horses. Jockey D. Gray arrived Monday morning from Arlington Downs. Gray does the riding for his former contract holder, C. Howell. J. C. Sawyer, with Ogygia, Gallahad Maid and Poly Royal, was an arrival from Ai-lington Downs. The San Angelo Stable, in charge of A. C. Russell, unloaded The Choctaw, Elanbee, Texas Pal, World Over and Pulis here on Monday. M. Preston, well-known Texas owner and breeder, was an arrival from Arlington Downs with Miss Webb, William V., Play-may, Bagen Way, Miss Anthony and Es-tralla. W. J. McQuillen arrived from Texas with Time Ball, Fair Romance and Jessie Cop-page. Lakar and Colonel Junior, the property of E. Wheatley, arrived over the week-end from Hot Springs. Whistling Boy, Teenie R., Herbar and Shoot, in charge of V. Dennis, are already quartered here and will be joined later by a division of the stable that is at present at Aurora. Bobby Sweep and Color Bell, belonging to L. Stark, were moved to Riverside a short time ago. J. D. Ewing, with one horse, Dave T., arrived Monday from Texas. Chianti and Free Advice were the two horses J. Howe brought here. D. W. Carroll, with Hidden Lore, Ervast and Cheka, unloaded here Monday.
