LEADING AMERICAN TRAINERS A. G. Tarn Holds Lead With Forty-Two Winners — R. McGarvey Saddles 18 Winners in Month. A. G. Tarn held his position as leader of the American trainers by saddling eleven winners during the past thirty days, but his margin over Hirsch Jacobs has been cut down to two winners, the Brooklyn horseman saddling fourteen winners during the same period. Tarn has saddled forty-two winners since the first of the year and Jacobs, forty. R. McGarvey had a better record than either of the two leaders when he saddled eighteen winners to bring his total up to thirty-nine.
