WAR. fractious at the post, forced the early pace after the break, moved into command when urged, shook off opposition and drew clear, winning with speed in reserve. FAIRY HILL, a forward factor from the start, was placed under pressure in the final eighth, but could not overhaul the winner. CAMISADO raced truly on the inside and had no mishaps. MAHDI raced evenly all the way. TRANSMUTING finished well under urgini:. NIGHT BUD showed an even effort all the way. COUNT ATLAS closed some ground. HEIR APPARENT raced greenly. SCROOGE quit. Won easily; second and third the same. RIOTER saved ground the first turn of the field, made a bad landing at the seventh fence, but recovered quickly, shook off his opposition and drew away, winning with speed in reserve. SUMATRA jumped well throughout and was kept in a forward position, moved up when called upon, but could not menace the winner. APPIAN WAY showed early speed under steadying restraint and finished well through the final half mile. LONDON TOWN raced wide at the turns the first turn of the field and dropped back steadily the final turn of the field. SABASTAPOOL made a bad landing at the fourth fence after being in early trouble. TRIFOLIUM reared at the break and was away poorly. ALARIC and DARK SARD showed speed the first turn of the field, but were not persevered with at the end when they tired. MILL POND, under pressure in the early running to keep in a forward position, was in close quarters in the final eiehth when THE RUNNER bore over and finished gamely when clear to outlast CROP in the final drive. The latter was rushed into command after the break, raced truely all the way and had no mishap?. THE RUNNER, in close quarters in the early running, secured clear passage and came to the •utside, then bore over slightly nearing the final sixteenth post. ANGLO SAXON, well up throughout, faltered suddenly in the final drive. DANGER POINT showed a good effort under pressure all the way on the inside. DARK BEAU raced well. HIGH FLEET stumbled at the break and went to her knees, recovered quickly and slipped through on the inside, drew away into a safe lead, but was placed under pressure through the final eighth to hold SPARTA safe. The latter, a forward factor from the start and under steady restraint, moved up steadily in the stretch when called upon, then finished well. MAG MELL, away well, had no mishaps in the running. LITTLE MIRACLE was bumped after the break, dropped back and could not menace the leaders """Ner. AMPERSAND showed early speed, saved ground, but tired badly. SPRINGLOCK was away poorly. PRINCE ABBOT, outrun in the early stages, lost much ground at th# far turn and stretch turn and closed some ground while passing tired horses in the stretch. GILLIE improved his position on the inside, made a determined bid under pressure in the stretch, but hung at the end. SUNPORT was placed under punishment in an effort to keep up rounding the far turn. OUR REIGH quit badly after showing a flash of early speed. SIXTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. BOGERTIN, outrun in the early staees, worked his way up on the outside, made a determined bid in the stretch and then hung. MOUNT ECHO, in nearest pursuit of the pace, made a determined bid in the stretch run and then faltered. EUDES had no mishaps. CREDULOUS quit badly under pressure. Scratched— 253102Cachalot, 112.
