ADAMS ELECTED PRESIDENT BOSTON, Mass., May 12.— Charles F. Adams was elected president of the Eastern Racing Association, operators of Suffolk Downs, succeeding Bayard Tuckerman, Jr., whc declined re-election because of business i and political activities requiring a great part of his attention. Allan J. Wilson, at the ; annual meeting of the board of directors, was elected first vice-president and man- ; aging director. Other officers chosen were Richard Ely Danielson, second vice-president; i Earle F. Gibson and Frank E. M. South, assistant vice-presidents; V. C. Bruce Wetmore, treasurer; Weston W. Adams and j Willard H. Stevens, assistant treasurers, and Charles H. Innes, clerk. The following members of the board of directors will serve for the coming year: Bayard Tuckerman, [ Jr., Richard Ely Danielson, Allan J. Wilson, 1 Charles F. Adams. Charles H. Innes, William J. McDonald, V. C. Bruce Wetmore, Charles F. Cotter and Weston W. Adams. 1 The Turf Club will be an innovation at Suffolk Downs this year, with permanent quarters in the penthouse atop the clubhouse. I Membership will be sold on an annual basis and admission to the penthouse or Turf Club will be to members only. This I club is similar to those at leading race tracks. Richard Ely Danielson was appointed I to draft the final plans for operation of the Suffolk Downs Turf Club.
