I NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES I $ Bert Blume, trainer for E. T. Burke, arrived at Narragansett Park to take charge of the string, which includes Shining Knight, Maidens Dream, Byrdex, Jesting Lady and Happy Flag. H. H. Brown announced Thursday morning that he had sold the three-year-old Col. Bixer to George C. Peckham, of Newton, Mass. Peckham is another young New Eng- lander to decide to purchase a string of horses, and Col. Bixer is the first thoroughbred he has acquired. Brown will continue to train the horse. Flamenco, the five-year-old imported English handicap star which has been training smartly here, is scheduled to make his first Rhode Island appearance on Saturday when he starts in an overnight six furlongs sprint handicap. The thoroughbred is owned by C. H. Palmer, New York chemical manu facturer, and trained by W. G. Wilson.
