- - - - - - WRACK-PRETCNSE COLT BEST Trainer Jim Fitzsimmons Acts as Judge at Annual Yearling Show in Pimlico Paddock. BALTIMORE, Md., May 15.— The Maryland Horse Breeders Association held its annual yearling show in the infield at Pimlico, Thursday morning. Judge James F. "Sunny Jim" Fitzsimmons decided that a brown colt by imported Wrack — Pretense dominated the sixteen colts that were exhibited. The youngster is owned by Maj. Ral Parr. The runner-up position went to a chestnut gelding by Trojan — Mystify, the property of C. F. Hockley. A bay colt by Flying Ebony — Ravishing took third for Mrs. T. B. Black-stone. Mrs. W. C. Williams took first honors in the filly division with a brown by imported Philippi — French Doll. Second went to a gray by Roi Grey — Scheherazade, belonging to Mrs. Dean Bedford, and Mrs. Elmer True-man took third with her black by Bud Lerner — Grace Troxler. The Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association, operators of Havre de Grace, donated a silver trophy for the winner of the colt class, and the Southern Maryland Agricultural Association donated another for the fillies. The championship trophy, donated by the Maryland Horse Breeders Association went to Mrs. W. C. Williams filly.
