SOUTH AMERICAN TRADE DOWN WASHINGTON, D. C, May 15.— The department of commerce Thursday announced a decline in United States exports to South America and a slight gain in those to Asiatic countries, including Japan, for the month of March, as compared with the figures for the same month in 1935. This was in direct contrast to previous months. During the first three months of this year exports to the South American countries were up, while those to Asia were down. In general, the I figures revealed a rising world trade trend.
