ILLINOIS DERBY LIST « Thirty-Three Named For Auroras Feature Race to Be Run May 22. Bold Venture and Three Other Derby Winners Among the Splendid Array of Nominations. AURORA, 111., May 15.— Thirty-three thoroughbreds were named for the fourth renewal of the Illinois Derby, 2,000 added, which will be run Friday, May 22, at the Fox Valley Jockey Clubs course, before the j deadline was reached for making entries. However, according to racing secretary I Leigh theres a possibility of a few more being received, which will be accepted in the | event they bear a postmark prior to mid- I night Friday. Mrs. Emil Denemark, Chicago patron, I made the largest number of nominations, having named four for the stake which tops . the offerings of the Aurora spring meeting. Most prominent of the entries made is that of Morton L. Schwartz Bold Venture, which scored an impressive triumph over Brevity I in tho Kentucky Derby two weeks ago. However, there has not been any definite word j received as to whether the Schwartz color- i bearer will be shipped here to fill some other engagement next week. Other prominent stables represented are those of Col. E. R. Bradley, with Bow and ! Arrow and Banister, Calumet Farms Count I Morse, Shandon Farms Bright Light and Ceallaigh, J. H. Whitneys Mr. Bones, Milky i Way Farms The Fighter, Sangreal and ! Doran. Mrs. P. A. B. Wideners Dnieper, and King Ranchs Split Second.
