« AURORA TURfNOTES j Word was received from Col. E. R. Bradley that Bow and Arrow, one of the two eligibles he has for the Illinois Derby, will be shipped from Pimlico to Aurora on Sunday, according to the Fox Valley Jockey Club management. The Milky Way Farms thoroughbreds, comprising twenty-nine head, were unloaded at Hawthorne this morning by trainer Bob McGarvey. They arrived from Louisville, Ky., where they were campaigned during the spring. The list includes The Fighter, Sang-real and Doran, a trio of Illinois Derby eligibles. Condition books embracing the first ten days of the Hawthorne meeting, which opens on May 23, were distributed to owners and trainers at Aurora on Friday afternoon by Pat Galliger. The extensive stables of Mrs. A. M. Creech and C. E. Davison will be shipped to Detroit following the close of the Aurora season next week. L. C. Hunt registered the three-year-old Attauquechee with the racing secretary at the Fox Valley Jockey Club, which he is training for Mrs. L. C. Hunt. A pre-Derby ball is scheduled for next Thursday night at the Log Cabin, which is situated on the grounds near the track, and an overflow attendance is considered certain. Charles C. Campau, veteran racing official and one time star outfielder of the Chicago White Sox, plans to spend the summer in New Orleans after he is relieved of his duties at Aurora. It will mark the first time in several years that Campau has been at home during the summer months. Butsey Hernandez, who has one of the largest bands of thoroughbreds quartered at the Fox Valley course, is making arrangements to ship to Detroit early next week, he announced. The feature race on next Tuesdays card at Aurora will be named in honor of Sophie Tucker and the beloved entertainer will be the guest of the management on that occasion. •
