ARLINGTON PARK NOTES j C. J. FitzGerald, Jr., and Sidney Brown, members of the official staff, have arrived to assume their duties. The former will serve as clerk of the scales and Brown will be one of the placing judges and assistant to racing secretary Charles McLennan. Three turf races will be run each week. These races, through the infield grass course, always have been highly popular with the fans, and secretary McLennan has set one for each Monday, Wednesday and Friday of the meeting. Ernest White, mutuel manager at Hawthorne, will be first assistant to Mort Shaw, who will be. in charge of the wagering department at Arlington Park. Wayne D. Wright,. contract rider for J. E. Widener, will arrive from New York Tuesday. Phil Reilly, trainer of the horses owned by Otto W. Lehmann. and Mrs. F. M. Grab- ner, transferred seven head here Friday from Hawthorne. Queen Regent will be vanned here following her engagement Saturday at the Cicero course. Reilly has the contract on apprentice Elwood Hannah and he expects the youngster to break into the winning ranks at Arlington Park. The lad has had eleven mounts so far. The huge course at Arlington Heights is immaculate in appointment, and the racing strip is two-fifths of a second faster than last season. "We are waiting for the first bugle," says general manager Roy Car-ruthers.
