9 NORTHAMPTON MEETING ENDS AKRON, Ohio, June 27. One of the biggest upsets of the Northampton Park meet- ing occurred here this afternoon, when Rag-acreek led throughout to a handy victory in the East Akron Casting Purse, fifth and best offering of the concluding days card: Monocle came from far back to outstay Sun Manor for second honors. Bubble Up, the favorite, was never really dangerous. Ideal conditions prevailed and the largest crowd of the meeting witnessed the sport. Donna James and Tappanaugh never left the issue in doubt in their races. Charlie Jr. and Brown Ray both raced over the leaders in the latter stages of their respective races to win handily. Bonivan only got up in the last few yards of the initial dash.
