Won driving; second and third the same. CELTIC LEGEND broke well and moved into contention with a rush, disposed of CHURCH PARADE in the stretch and drew away at the end, but was held responsible for crowding at the far turn and was disqualified. CHURCH PARADE, fractious at the post, broke fast and, on the inside," saved ground and had no excuses. SCOTTISH MARY was in close quarters and, forced to take up, responded when, clear and finished fast. SLEEP WELL was shuffled back after the break, worked her way up on the inside and finished resolutely. RITORNO was caught in close quarters going to the turn and was forced to take up. SUN TEA was shuffled back after the break. LUCKY PLEDGE was bothered and in close quarters until the final quarter mile. POMPISH raced greenly. BELLE ELAN was knocked back after the break. Won driving; second and third the same. TOMPEYS SQUAW improved her position steadily on the inside, came between the leaders entering the stretch and drew away in the final eighth. HEADIN HOME showed early speed while saving ground, responded to urging and held MALMAISON safe in the final strides. The latter slipped through on the inside entering the stretch, made a determined bid when called upon, but faltered at the end. ANOTHERONE came to the outside rounding the stretch turn, moved ud courageously, but faltered at the finish. STAVKA showed an even effort. VELVET MASK, a forward factor throughout, tried to bear out entering the stretch, but quit under urging at the end. SAVINGS had no mishaps. INTRODUCTORY was outrun. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE. RISOTTO, close up all the way, came through on the inside entering the stretch and finished well. IDLE MIDGET set a fast early pace, saved ground throughout, but faltered badly under urging at the end. SWIFT FLASH overcame early interference and finished well. WANTARUN showed a good effort. TIME ME, fractious at the post, broke from outside the stalls and crossed over to the inside after going a quarter mile. SIR RANDOLPH worked his way up on the inside. YETIVE faltered under pressure. The latter saved ground entering the stretch, was placed under pressure in the final eighth and then tired. STAR SHADOW was carried extremely wide by RUFFY rounding the first turn and could not menace the leaders when called upon.
