f LINCOLN FIELDS TURF NOTES J, ; . 5 Kenneth Noe will get away from here Sunday with the horses he trains for C. L. Croan and R. S. Byrum. Those owned by Croan, newly appointed Kentucky State Racing Commissioner, are Crowning Glory, Big Gawk, Silent Fleet and Bay Memor. Byrums two are Rhine and Fort Estill. Lexington will be their destination. Jockey Leonard "Tex" Wilson returned here after attending the funeral of his mother-in-law, who died several days ago at Collinsville, 111. The sprinter Slim Rosie, owned by the Weil Stable, was fired by Dr. G. B. McKillip and will be turned out until spring at the Chicago Riding Academy. William H. Shelley, racing secretary at Lincoln Fields,, will spend a few days at his home in Louisville following the close of the meeting here and then will go to Texas. He will serve in the stewards stand at Arlington Downs and later as racing secretary at Alamo Downs. The B. B. Johnson horses will be shipped to Tanforan by trainer William Buck next . Sunday. Included in he consignment will be Bert Reid, Madcap Yankee, Someone Else, , Rambling Along, Bold Bid and Prince Heath-; er. Net Profit, another member of the sta- ble, is sick with an attack of flu and probably will, be" left here and sent west later. T. J. Debord was a visitor here for several days while en route to Texas. He came from New England, where he turned out the three horses he owns. Mrs. Clara Bogenschutz came up from her home in Cincinnati and joined her husband, Larry Bogenschutz, Lincoln Fields placing judge. She will remain until the end of the Lincoln Fields meeting. Carnelian, Whipstitch and Vertner, owned by J. C. Stone and trained by H. Louden, will be transferred. toXexirigton Sunday,, . James T. Clark, paddock and. patrol judge here, will leave Sunday for Louisville. At Churchill Downs he will be patrol judge and also will be in charge of the distribution of badges to horsemen, jockeys and others. Frank Burley announced he will be among the riders who will take in the Sportsmans Park meeting.
