BLODDOCK, away with the leaders, took command when BYPATH, the early pacemaker, began tiring and. drawing clear, had to be hard ridden through the stretch to hold LAMBS. WOOL safe. The latter, shuffled bark at the start, improved her position steadily and closed with good energy in the stretch. WITLESS, knocked back in the opening strides, moved up fast on the outside approaching the far turn and the effort took a lot out of her and she was unable to make up any amount of ground in the closing drive. POLYCHROME closed with a belated bid through the stretch. MINDA was hustled into contention, but faltered in the final test. MERRY KIN was never a threat. DRAFT SERGEANT was well placed the entire trip and, under punishment in the stretch, continued gamely. STAROGAN, in close quarters after leaving the back stretch, was eased back and came in determined fashion when gaining clear passage in -the stretch. WISE KING was prominent throughout, but tired slightly in the final quarter mile. TEETER TOTTER was away slowly and, outrun until rounding the far turn, C3me stoutly on the outside in the stretch. DORNOCH was unable to reach the leaders, but made a threatening bid midway of the turn. ARMY GAME had speed from the start, avoided thexrowding that occurred at the first turn, withstood early opposition from ADAMITE, disposed of him and, fighting it out head and head with TEDDY CARL the entire trip, lasted to hold off the winner. TEDDY CARL was prominent throughout, fighting it out in game lashion the entire trip and faltered slightly in the last few strides. POPO was a forward factor the entire trip, but was unable to reach the leaders when placed under punishment. GRANDMAS BOY was unable to improve his position when called upon after gaining a prominent position. LEGENDER closed"with a rush through the stretch after racing far back for most of the way. ADAMITE quit. INFINITATE was up with the leaders in the run to the first turn when he suffered sharp interference and had no chance thereafter. PASS EM BY was. unable to reach the leaders. MANAGER MIKE had good speed, gained a slight lead approaching the stretch, then dropped, back suddenly. SURE HOUR took command at once, displayed good speed for the first three-quarters, tiring in the final quarter mile, HERONDAS, in closest . chase of the early pace, was unable to keep up.
