I LONG BRANCH TURF NOTES a, . Arthur Brent, acting for Dr. T. H. Callahan of Toronto, disposed of a yearling filly by Osiris II. and the good mare Belmona to the Cosgrave Stable for a private consideration. Brent formerly raced Belmona with good success throughout the country. Jockey T. Aimers will resume riding at Long Branch after a lengthy lay-off from saddle duty. P. S. Price reports that the mare Barter, which has been on the shelf for some time, is taking kindly to training and may be seen in action during the Long Branch meeting. Amqui, which was claimed by the Med-way Stable at Woodbine Park last Friday, was jumped on in the running of the race and has been shipped to the farm at London, Ont. W. D. Reddy arrived from Montreal with Galabang and Justi. Ed Bowie also checked in from the same point with Colored Artist, Molasses Bill and Leo D. Pat Mulhall was among the trainers who shipped to Long Branch from Mount Royal. Horsemen are reminded of the claiming rule which is in operation at Long Branch. This rule reads In part: "In claiming races any horse is subject to claim by anyone starting a horse at this meeting. Such starter includes all horses that go to the post up to and including the race in which the claim is made." -
