The latter, under good urging from the start, swung wide after offering a bold bid ncaring the final quarter, came, fast when straightened and was wearjng the winner down. BLACK MISS, away slowly, moved up last on the inside during the opening quarter, responded to strong urging when reaching the lead, wore CHANCE QUEEN down in the last sixteenth and won drawing away CHANCE QUEEN sprinted into a big lead early, was put to strong handling when threatened and tired. OUR WILLIE, outrun for a half mile, was steered to the inside for the drive and finished strongly. CONTRAST, on the outside and shufiled back at the far turn, came again in the stretch and made up ground. SUN TRYST quit. TRAGGAT raced wide. DOWN IN FRONT quit. Corrected weight Traggat, 112. The latter took command under hustling tactics, drew clear after five-sixteenths, forced HAMBURGER JIM wide at the stretch turn and just failed to last. HAMBURGER JIM, a strong factor from the start, was carried out by MISS TWINKLING, but held on well. YANKEE WATERS raced evely. NOMA F. appeared hot to like the going. The others were outrun. The latter walked away from the gate, moved up steadily after five-sixteenths, responded well in the stretch and was wearing the winner down at the end. HANDSOME HAL rushed to the front, drew away after disposing of PRE WAR. swerved to the Inside during the final eighth and tired. PRE WAR, well up from the start, was not persevered with when tiring.
