ADAMS EVE, a forward factor in the early racing, went to the leaders strongly entering the stretch, withstood a hard drive and wore RIDING HIGH down right at the end. RIDING HIGH, strongly handled to go along in the first flight, raced BALCONY into submission, but failed, to withstand .the winner. BALCONY had good speed while setting the pace, but tired after being caught entering the stretch. WATERMAN, squeezed back after the start, finished full of run when clear. SQUARE PLAY showed a good effort. TITIAN KIDDIE was steered wide from the start. FLOWER TIME was used up forcing the early pace and tired. BALLY BAY was away very slowlv, as w?s PETER SAND. DUNDRILLIN, racing strongly -while following close to the pace and saving much ground for the first mile, took command at the ninth fence, met repeated efforts from LITTLE MARTY and drew out on the flat after clearing the final jump. LITTLE MARTY worked his way forward on the outside, made strong bids in the last half mile, but tired approaching the finish. WILFRID G. dropped far out of contention for a mile, circled his field and closed fast. QUICK VERDICT could not improve his position in the late stages. GREATOREX struck several of his jumps and fell back after a mile and a half. DAFFY was never dangerous. WRACKONITE could not threaten. POPPYMAN quit. Overweight Wilfrid G., 1 pound. GOLDEN VEIN, restrained off the pace for the first seven-eighths, engaged the leaders midway of the final turn, came through on the inside when reaching the stretch, wore down FERVID inside the final eighth and drew out under mild urging. FERVID was rated after getting to the front, shook off CREDULOUS and held on gamely when forced to strong pressure in the stretch drive. CREDULOUS made his bid-leaving the back stretch, but tired steadily in the last quarter mile. MADDENING closed with good courage. GOANTELL could not threaten. DUNFOX was never dangerous. SHOT AND SHELL moved into a clear lead after entering the back stretch, was steadied until challenged, then held on gamely. SEA GULL followed in closest attendance of SHOT AND SHELL, moved up boldly entering the stretch and fought it out gamely to the close. INFERNO LAD was hustled into a contending position, was placed to punishment in the last quarter mile, but failed to rally. ROSS could not better his position. PAN TOY and COPPER TUBE were outrun. WISE ADVOCATE, taken very wide at the, first turn, began working his way up on the inside when straightened in the back stretch, was badly blocked midway of the turn, then swung to the outside to close with a belated rush and pulled up lame. TUTTICURIO raced forwardly from the beginning and held on determinedly under severe pressure. BILL BLEIWEISS was steadied close up early and held on well when the real test came. HIGH TORQUE was under steadying restraint while settine the pace, saved eround, but faltered in the last eighth. GLOWING COAL closed a big eap. OUT OF FIRE was held safe. MISS JONES quit. SPARTAN LADY, racing as if much the best, took command without effort when leaving the back stretch, opened up a winning lead and continued to draw out steadily approaching the end. TAMBOV was rushed hard to gain the lead going to the first turn, was unable to stay with the winner when caught, but held on willingly to outstay PRECIOUS KING. The latter improved his position slowly in the last half mile. DUNAIR could not threaten. LIGHT ACTION was held safe. CANTIE tired after three-quarters THREE DAGGERS passed tiring horses.
