Brown; bred by Mr. J. G. Lang. Winner entered to be claimed for ,250. WENT TO POST 4:47. AT POST 1 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. HOME WORK, well placed and restrained throughout, went to the front before reaching the stretch and, hard ridden at the end, lasted to hold FOREIGN LEGION safe. The latter trailed his field into the back stretch, moved around on the outside rounding the far turn and closed stoutly through the stretch just, failing to get up. TWO EDGED was a forward factor throughout, was much used in disposing of GOLDEN WORDS and had nothing left when challenged by the first two. STEALTH closed a good gap in the final quarter. RAMUS was well placed early, but unable to keep up. Overweight Stealth, 31 pounds; Goody Goody, 3; Secured, 4. Corrected weight Miss Belize, 106.
