ALBINO, fractious at the post and away slowly, began to improve his position on the turn, sharply cut to the inside when entering the stretch and, holding on with determination when straightened out, outstayed PECOS in the drive. The latter, also rank at the post where he was placed on the outside, remained far out, of it for a half mile, raceUetween horses when moving to the lead with a rush, then tired from the effort and was outfmished in the closing strides. BILLY MOLE, under strong riding after three-eighths and saving ground much of the trip, gave an even effort. COUNTESS MARIO dropped back suddenly on the turn and was not persevered with thereafter. INSCOLITA, away fast but taken off the pace and rated under strong restraint until reaching the final quarter, where she came to the extreme outside, closed resolutely under a strong hand ride and wore down LEGION GIRL in the last fifty yards. The latter, showing the most speed from the start and also under restraint for a half mile, held on in improved fashion, but was not good enough. NOIR LIGHT, on the inside throughout and having a disadvantage in the footing, had speed from the start and held on well to the last eighth before tiring. RAYMETA bore over badly in the stretch. ANKLETS, away slowly and raced wide throughout, began to improve his position gradually after reach ing the turn, stood a brisk drive gamely and, wearing down OTRA VEZ, was going away at the end. The latter, fractious at the post but away well, was rated under mild restraint for a half mile, responded when called upon and held on with good courage to the end, but was not good enough. MAIDEN DREAM, beginning well, was jostled about on the turn, came, to the outside in the stretch and closed boldly in a good effort. MR. RICKS raced to contention with a rush in .the first quarter, took command under urging when approaching the stretch and tired badly after, five-eighths. THE REW quit after showing speed to the stretch. EPINEL, in the worst going throughout, had little chance. SUNDAD stumbled shortly after the start. Overweight Otra Vez, 1 pound; Epinel, 2. The latter, receiving a hustling ride, had good speed and held on fairly well, but was not good enough. CORNELIA POWELL, saving ground throughout, moved up on the stretch turn and went evenb when under strong riding thereafter. BONSALL had no excuses. THE POINT, away slowly, raced very wide. The latter, badly outrun early, began to improve his position after a half mile; -came to the extreme outside in the stretch and, closing with determination, was wearing down the winner. CHASTITY, badly outrun for three-quarters, weaved between horses when coming with a rush thereafter. COLONEL ED tired in the drive. HEART BREAK gave way steadily after reaching the stretch. The latter, well up from the start and also under strong restraint for three-quarters, came to the outside for the drive and, closing well under strong handling, was. wearing down the winner. MANHATTAN, impeded on the first turn and badly outrun for three-quarters, came with good speed while racing on the inside thereafter. COMING BACK raced very wide and, under strong reserve fur five-eighths, failed to rally when placed to light pressure and tired in the stretch. SCHUIE quit. Scratched 35935 Mount Lookout, 108. LARO KEYS, forced very wide on the first turn and sent into command gradually when clear, increased his lead easily on the stretch turn and, holding on well, stalled off DANCING BOY. The latter began to move up after a half mile, came between horses entering the stretch and challenged gamely, but could not get up. SHALOT bettered his position steadily and finished with good courage in a fine effort. VOLOMITE, under steady restraint for three-quarters, made a mild bid under strong pressure, then tired. ERECH, well rated, was placed to light pressure after reaching the final five-sixteenths, but tired badly in the last three-sixteenths. NORTHERN SIR quit. Scratched 35935Atit, 104.
