I RIVER DOWNS TURF NOTES S : Arthur Pickens, old-time rider, who won the Kentucky Derby with Stone Street, came up from his home at Maysville for the final few days of racing. Jockey E-irl Pool will leave for Churchill Downs on Sunday, where he will ride during the final six days of that meeting. Jockey Eddie Yager will depart for Bay Meadows nent week where he reports to iMilo Shields, his contract employer. v. Jockeys riding at River Downs attended m a body the funeral of Mack Garner, held at Allison and Roses Funeral Home at 8 oclock Friday night. Messages of condolence and flowers came from all parts of the country. Burial will be in the Covington ; Cemetery Saturday morning.
