I NEW ORLEANS TURF NOTES $ . I. J. Collins, wealthy breeder and sportsman of Lancaster, Ohio, has made application for stall reservations for virtually the same band of thoroughbreds .that campaigned on the New York tracks. Emanuel "Mickey" Fernandez, developer of the crack young rider R. Kastner, is rapidly recovering from an eye operation, for which he was forced to return to his home in New Orleans during the early part of the recent Epsom Downs season. The ultra modern thoroughbred barn erected by Frank Seremba at Jefferson Park prior to the. closing, of the racing at the Jefferson Parrish course has been sold to an unannounced purchaser, according to word received at the Fair Grounds.
