1 LAUREL PARK TURF NOTES f s h Arthur Brent, who reached Pimlico with a draft of the Erindale Stable, was a visitor at Laurel Thursday. Brent stated that he would obtain additions to his stable and will race at Tropical Park. For a consideration that was not made public, Anthony Pelleteri, acting for the Hillsdale Stable, acquired the good three-year-old Giant Killer from Walter M. Jeffords. Jockey Ira Hanford, who was suspended during the meeting of the Metropolitan Racing Association at Jamaica completed a twelve-day suspension after the close of racing at Laurel Thursday and returned to the saddle Friday. Frank Garrett, according to reports, will winter the" horses of Howard Bruce at Pimlico. A collection is being taken up among the riders at Laurel for a wreath which will be placed on the grave of the late Mack Garner. The following horses, Canpra, Pepper Patch, Southern Way, Dark Winter and Snobby Scamp, were added to the schooling list at Laurel after their bad post manners Wednesday. New Gaines will ship the horses of Mrs. M. R. Waugh to New Orleans at the close of the Bowie meeting. W. H. Denham is making plans to race his stable during the winter season at Tropical Park. Mrs. Nelson Bonds Energetic Lady, three-year-old daughter of Stimulus Fair Monica, was cut down so badly during the running of the third race Thursday that it was necessary to destroy her. Jockey Raymond Workman has been engaged to ride F. A. Carreauds Time Supply in the Washington Handicap, which will be run here Saturday. Workman arrived from Narragansett Friday after riding Pompoon in the New England Futurity. Jockey E. Tucker, who was suspended here on Tuesday for rough riding, left for his home in California. He will report at a later date to F. A. Carreaud.
