I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES : $ Marion McGonigle, who has been here for more than a week, having come from New York, ships ten horses to Hialeah Park, Monday, for C. H. Knebelkamp. They include four older horses and six yeatlings by Spanish Play, all having been in training at Douglas Park. Earl Steffen came over from Lexington and will ride free lance. Charles Landolt is another well known veteran jockey who has registered for tho meeting. The Southland Stable will be represented by Lucky Ducky, Gumption, Sage Girl, Glittering and Madonna. They came from Keeneland, in charge of Cliff Porter. H. G. Shoemakers colors will be carried here by Open Hearth, Wise Bessa, Gamaliel and Derby Eve. B. F. Arnold is the trainer, and they came from River Downs. Also from that point came Overplay, Cross Ruff, Rigorous and Capitalist, owned by F. h! Carpenter and trained by W. Stock. Jockey R. Montgomery is with this stable. Just Frank and Dev came here from River Downs in care of Jim Gass. Another arrival from the Cincinanti track was the C. N. Finch stable composed of Paul T., Paul C, Buddie Treacy, Ilchester and Scarp.
