H. Fausett; bred by Mr. B. Marks. Winner entered to be claimed for ,000. WENT TO POST 5:33. OFF AT ONCE. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. CARL B rated under strong restraint for seven-eighths, easily, shook off LA SALLE after straightening out in the stretch and, holding on well to the end, rapidly increased his advantage in the final eighth. NAVY GIRL, shuffled back soon after reaching the back stretch, was slow to rally when placed to pressure in the final three-eighths, but closed well and wore down LA SALLE in the final stride. The latter had speed from the start, was well rated, but tired in the final quarter. DONNIE W. gave way badly after seven-eighths. SERGEANT HILL lacked his usual belated speed. JERRY S. raced very wide, was under mild urging after, five-eighths and, laboring in the going, dropped far out of it in the final five-sixteenths.
