CASE ACE AND HEELFLY RACE TODAY Blue Bonnet Handicap and Trial Purse at Arlington Downs Attract Crack Fields Milky Way Farm Star Top Weight in Handicap ARLINGTON, Texas, April 9. With eight eligibles for Texas Derby honors named for the Blue Bonnet Handicap and Trial Purse, tomorrows program at Arlington Downs is by far the most attractive of the meeting. In the Blue Bonnet, Milky Way Farms Case Ace will make his local debut under the top weight of 116 pounds. It is the same weight assigned Mrs. E. H. Bartletts Zevson, but the three-year-old will be carrying his scale weight, while his older opponent gets in sixteen pounds under the scale. The ten others named for the six furlongs sprint that carries ,000 in added money will receive from eighteen to twenty-eight pounds from the son of Teddy, which also is named for the Kentucky Derby. In his only start this year. Case Ace defeated a fair band of three-year-fids at Santa Anita. Since arriving here, he has trained in fine style and as a final preparation for tomorrows engagement breezed a half mile this morning in :48. Alfred Robertson will handle the Teddy colt, and he drew the inside position. ZEVSON FAILS. After a successful campaign at New Orleans, Zevson failed in his only start here. It was a trip over a mile and seventy yards, and he finished fourth under the top impost of 118 pounds. Reaping, Bacon and Boston Sound, the leading sprinters during the Epsom Downs season, follow the top pair in line of weights. Reaping and Bacon, carrying 114 pounds each, and Boston Sound, which beat Bacon by a nose in the Inaugural Handicap, gets in under 112 pounds. Transmutable, under 107 pounds, is next, and the Mrs. E. Oros entry of Bold Lover and Morning Mail will tote 106 pounds each. Eight three-year-olds, headed by Three Ds Stock Farms Heelfly and Mrs. V. Due to his Derby victory, Eastport will carry the top burden of 114 pounds and in the event that the Arkansas Racing Commission permits, Raymond Hightshoe will ride the colt HEELFLY LOW WEIGHT. Heelfly is low weight of the field under 111 pounds. Mars Shield will tote 107 pounds, but she is the only filly in the field and the others carry 112 pounds each. Out of the eight named, Play Pal, which finished second to Heelfly, is the non-eligible to the Texas Derby. Mrs. Tom Marshall will be represented by Palan and Brown Prodigy. As a final preparation, Heelfly breezed three furlongs in :35 and Eastport went five furlongs in 1:05 this morning. The Trial and the Blue Bonnet Handicap will occupy the fifth and sixth positions on an eight-race program that also includes a substitute. A mile and seventy yards journey called the Lakeworth, for better grade platers in the seventh event, will support the dual features, and the Pan American Sports Department Purse will serve as the third race.
