GRACEFUL FLIGHT moved into a short lead in the opening eighth, was guided into the firmer footing. Tallied to punishment when straightened into the stretch and drew clear approaching the finish. BLACK BOO worked his way forward steadily after settling in his stride, stole through on the inside when reaching the stretch, but could not menace the winner in the final issue. TROSTAR forced a steady pace while following in close attendance of the winner, but tired in the final drive. MAY MUSIC went prominently and had no excuses. ZINNIA was outrun. RANICILLA lacked speed. SMOKE SIGNAL displayed much speed to take command after the opening sixteenth, moved out into a long lead when straightened into the stretch and continued stoutly to increase his margin approaching the end. LEGAL LIGHT was shuffled back directly after the start, settled in his best stride quickly and finished gamely. WAY OUT was stoutly ridden and came gamely in the final drive. SURE CLOUD raced stoutly for three-eighths, then tired badly. BOW TIP was knocked back soon after the start. SCHLEY GOREE was held safe. HAPPY CHIEF trailed throughout. SUNDROPS tired after going a half mile. DEEPWICK jwas away slowly and showed a good effort. SUN MICA had no excuses. MERIGA was done early. The latter disposed of GOOD OMEN midway of the turn, lost command in the final eighth, but continued stoutly to the end. MASTER LAD, outrun early, gained fast on the .outside in the last five-sixteenths, but could not threaten the leaders in the final drive. VOTE BOY went well for three-eighths, then tired. TOUCHE was sent up on the inside in the worst footing at the turn out of the back stretch, found racing room, but tired after making strone bids LANDSCAPE could not threaten when forced to a drive. The latter was hurried into the lead, raced PRECIOUS KING into submission, saved ground wherever possible and fought it out stoutly when caught. POST BRIGADE was guided to the outside when making his run and finished with good courage. ROLLICK could not menace seriously when placed to a hard drive. PRECIOUS KING went stoutly for the first seven-eighths, then tired after making a stout effort midway of the final turn. GALAHAD was never dangerous. APATHY and JIMMY D. were outrun all the way.
