" I AURORA TURF NOTES i$ Joseph Baumback, who trains the horse3 of Mrs. E. H. Bartlett, Including the New Orleans champion, Zevson, will ship five horses to Aurora soon, according to a wire received by racing secretary Dick Leigh this week. Early arrivals among Auroras staff of officials included Cliff Abbo, Charlie Eddy, Phil Amend, John Morrow, and John Le Blanc. Six horses for E. G. Hoffman arrived from New Orleans along with two head for Al Gaal. Gaal arrived earlier by motor. "Chuck" Miller, a native of these parts, unloaded two head in the first shipment to the track. Jack Klucina, who has been ill most of the winter ,was another who put in an early appearance. Jack Carter, who trains the horses for several patrons including William Schmidt, Chicagoan, and Murdock and McQuillan, will ship ten horses to the Fox Valley course for the meeting. The track is coming along in fine shapa with several hundred cubic yards of a combination of red sand and dirt added to it. Horsemen say it will considerably soften the Aurora track. Five horses belonging to J. D. Larkin, arrived in the same car from Hot Springs with the W. C Reichert colorbearers, which included the Illinois Derby nominee, Sir Midas. Tommy Root, trainer for the powerful S. Pershall band, will ship twelve to Aurora. Root mads several good claims recently irt Florida,
