PRINCESS ATHENE, well rated back of the early leaders, closed with a rush midway of the stretch and, under a drive, raced on to win going away. SKY PIRATE raced to the front at once, drew out in the First quarter to a pood lead, saved ground on the inside all the way, but failed to stall off the winner in the final drive. MUMSIE, always withing striking distance, closed with good courage in the final eighth. LADY ROMA showed good early speed, but tired in a stretch drive. DISTRIBUTE moved to the front of ILLEANNA on the far turn to take a short lead and, standing a hard stretch drive gamely, had enough left to hold LOOKABOUT. The latter came again after dropping back and, finishing gamely in the middle of the track, just failed to get up. APPRENTICE raced well to the end. EN MASSE was slow to get going and, permitted to drop far back of the leaders, was never dan gerous, although closing much ground. MARDROMEL made up ground. UNCLE LESS was done after three-quarters. TABLE STAKES was close up on the inside from the start and, coming gamely under bard riding in the stretch, got to the front near the end to hold PELTER. The latter dashed to a contending position soon after the start and raced strongly to the end. KUMREIGH was well up from he start under a hustling ride, but was not good enough. FLORAGINA, hustled to the front at once, had the most early speed, but tired in the stretch. CLAUDIAN was forced to race wide and suffered interference. WARD BOSS was in trouble early and could never get to the front. ROYAL KATE was forced wide and met with interference. WACKY JACK suffered serious interference on the stretch turn and was forced to take up. BOSS MARTIN was off in a tangle and had little chance. Scratched 39938Heroique, 105; 39896 Bonamye, 110. FLINTRIDGE made a strong move ap-Droachinr the stretch turn, then tired. TELLWICK raced wide, but showed a good effort. DUSTY BOOTS blrf and was eased up. SUPERIOR HILLS quit badly. NINCO broke down. KELLY moved up with surprising speed when called upon and, saving ground in the stretch, was going away at the end. SAN RAMON was never far from the pace and raced fairly well to the end. MY BOSS suffered early interference, but finished well and night have won with better racing luck. ADIRONDACK lacked early speed, but was also going well at the end. "SIR SATIN tired. ENELLA was in close quarters going to the first turn and raced very wide on the stretch turn. CHICASHA broke well, but could not keep up. RADIO BEAM quit badly.
