t TANF0RAN TURF NOTES o s Silk Mask, crack sprinter in the Rosedale Stable, breezed three-eighths in :37and in a prep for a special six furlongs handicap Friday. Ben Holmes, racing secretary at Agua Caliente,was an arrival Tuesday morning and will remain throughout the week. Condition and stake books for the Detroit meeting were received Tuesday by judge Gallagher. The two-year-olds Chardash and Ana-huaco, owned by A. B. Spreckles, have been gelded. Funeral services for J. Ogoa, former horse owner, who passed away last week, were held Monday. Interment was at Holy Cross cemetery. George Cooney, well-known Montana turfman, was an arrival at Tanforan Tuesday and was busy renewing old acquaintances. Gene Normile, general manager of the Caliente Jockey Club, Is expected to arrive at Tanforan Thursday. Bill Quigley, director of racing at Del Mar, arrived Wednesday. R. E. "Lanny" Lcighninger, prominent western official, checked in Tuesday to take up his duties as an official at Bay Meadows. He reports that the Agua Caliente Hptel, closed for some time, will be reopened this coming summer. Bon Fume, good California-bred juvenile, owned by Joseph Elliott, has been turned over to Ross Cooper to train.
