RADIO CHARM moved into a long lead after coming across sharply after the start, saved ground all the way and had speed in reserve when reaching the end. BUNNY BABY was sent up fast to gain a forward position, rallied to strong pressure and closed stoutly in the final drive. BROWN MOTH, slow .to settle in his stride, finished full of run while finishing on the outside. LOCAL BOY suffered interference at the turn out of the back stretch and showed a good effort. MICRO was shuffled back going to the turn, recovered and finished gamely. MADAME WALTER displayed early speed. MAFUTA began slower than usual and was outrun. MISS SIS lacked speed. HIGH VELOCITY, outrun early, bettered his position stoutly on the outside, closed strongly after gaining a short lead and held on determinedly to outstay LEAP. The latter went in the first flight, responded courageously when placed to a drive and fought it out stoutly after engaging the winner. MELODIANA, starting very slowly, was forced to race on the outside, circled her company gamely and finished stoutly. BROADKILL, rated close to the early pacemaker, tired badly under punishment in the final drive while finishing on the inside. GEMWICK raced in the first flight but was not good enough. WHITE COCKADE, lacking speed to hold a position with the early leaders, swung to the outside when making his move, closed resolutely on the outside in the final eighth, was going away at the end and was worked out a mile in 1:40. DEFLATE showed high speed to open up a long lead in the first five-eighths, saved ground, but tired badly in the final eighth. SIR QUEST challenged gamely at the stretch turn when placed to punishment, had to be taken up when WISE SISTER swerved in front of him, then came again right at the end. SCOTCH BUN finished with good courage. WISE SISTER showed good speed for a half mile, tired and swerved repeatedly during the stretch drive. PURPLE KNIGHT" and DUSKY PRINCE were outrun. WAR ADMIRAL, in good form, moved into the lead immediately, raced AIRFLAME into defeat, opened up a clear lead entering the stretch and held CLINGENDAAL safe, and was worked out a mile slowly in 1:41. CLINGENDAAL improved his position on the outside, closed gamely, but was no match for the winner. AIRFLAME was hustled hard, but began tiring after a half mile. MORNING tired after following close to the leaders for three-eighths. STAND IN and SUN POWER were both held perfectly safe. Scratched-34200Savage, 114; 38140 America First, 111. MASTER LAD saved ground all the way and closed courageously under punishment in the final test. KENTY was rushed off his feet to dispose of GENIE PALATINE, and tired after moving- into a short lead midway of the stretch. GENIE PALATINE displayed good speed for seven-eighths, then tired. KIEVEX was unable to enter contention. BOOTLESS faltered after moving up briskly at the turn out of the back stretch. FLORADORA was messed about all the way. TEMPESTUOUS quit badly. The latter, raed off the early pace, swung to the outside and finished with a rush. JIM JOHN assumed command midway of the back stretch, was steadied until challenged, but was unable to stay under severe urging. FRETTYLASS raced wide all the way and made up ground gradually. ICY WIND began tiring after racing forwardly for seven-eighths. BLACK MISCHIEF could not better his position. MORE PEP was never a factor. BOOSEL showed a flash of early speed. FEZ was outrun. POST BRIGADE, slow as usual in the early stages, moved up stoutly in the final quarter mile and outgamed POPO. The latter, rated close to the pace of TRAGEDIAN, moved up to take command easily in the stretch, but tired suddenly and quit badly when in front. SECRET VOTE lacked early speed, but finished stoutly. SUN ABBOT quit. DEARZIN was never a strong contender.
