THORNCLIFFE PARK TO USE CAMERA FOR ALL FINISHES TORONTO, Ont, April 14. Thorncliffe Park is going to have the photo finish. This announcement was made Wednesday by manager W. R. Woollatt, of the Leaside course, following a conference with those holding the rights for the camera. It will be the same camera which was operated so ably last year by the Turofsky brothers at Long Branch and Dufferin, although within a year those in charge of the camera expect to have a much improved one, patents of which have been obtained in both the United States and Canada. The photo finish is in use on practically all the tracks in the United States but up until this year it has only been in use in Canada at Long Branch and Dufferin, tracks which are operated by Messrs. Orpen and Hare. The Thorncliffe spring meeting, as usual, follows Woodbine, and will open on Tuesday, June 1.
