1 ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES I S : 5 Robert McGarvey stated this afternoon that jockey Russell Kastner is en route from California and will ride one of the Milky Way Farms representatives in Saturdays renewal of the Texas Derby. J. C. Hilliard, chairman of the Arkansas Racing Commission, arrived from his home in Wynne, Ark., and will remain for the running of the Texas Derby. An important addition was made to the sale to be held at Arlington Downs Thursday morning when Eugene Lutz announced he would offer the Sun Briar horse Sun Idol, which is six years old and a son of The Traumer mare Dark Goddess. .Lutz also will offer Bill Lutz and Almadel. Dr. J. M. Kaiser, widely known Illinois veterinarian, arrived from Chicago for an indefinite visit. Jockey R. Wall had his first mount in the seventh race Wednesday, on Signal Light. Acting for Mrs. Ethel V. Mars Milky Way Farm, Robert McGarvey sold the four-year-old Gallaclay to T. P, Morgan. Terms of the sale were private. Several late additions, notably Allenfern and Impatient, swelled the group of brood mares and racing stock to be offered at auction Thursday morning. Among the honored guests of the Texas Jockey Club, Saturday, for the running of the Texas Derby will be Mrs. Bernice Grieder, secretary of the state racing commission.
