TANFORAN TURF NOTES t : : C. McDonough, prominent horse owner and breeder of Eureka, Calif., was an arrival Friday. He reports the arrival of a fine foal at his ranch. The youngster is by Listo, from Dazzlebe. Both sire and dam are known as winners. McDonough recently purchased the former useful racer Alamae as a brood mare. Drawn Sword, winner of four straight races, broke down so badly during the running of the sixth race Friday that he had to be destroyed. The colt raced for W. L. Brown. The Tanforan stewards have recommended to the California State Racing Board that jockey L. Guymon be suspended for ten days for rough, riding iri the fifth and eighth races Friday. Inbarr, good two-year-old in the stable of Milo Shields, broke his leg while being worked Friday morning and was destroyed. Inbarr was a winner at the Tanforan meeting. The stables of L. W. Kidd, Hunt, Beezley and Boeing, and L. Copenhaver will be shipped to Omaha, about the middle of May. The Omaha meeting gets under way May 27. Gene Normile has announced that photographs will not be used to decide the fin- ishes at Caliente. When racing at Caliente opens May 8, Eddie Thomas, Santa Anita and Tanforan starter, will be in the starters stand. Thomas will be pinch-hitting for Harry Morrissey who will be engaged at Bay Meadows at that time. Word from Omaha has it that all officials for that meeting have been engaged, with the exception of the manager of the pari-mutuel plant. Will Aubrey, weUVknown theatrical man was a visitor at Tanforan. Aubrey arrived from Australia Thursday morning, and took in the races in the afternoon. He reports that the folk "Down Under" still think that the great Phar Lap met his death by foul means.
