MOTUEL MANAGER AT OMAHA Herman Frank Again Talcing Charge of Pools at Ak-Sar-Ben Track Installing Camera. OMAHA. Neb., April 17. Herman Frank, the brisk Baltimorean, again will return as manager of the Ak-Sar-Ben pari-mutuel room for the 1937 meeting scheduled May 27 to July 5. Frank is fast becoming an Ak-Sar-Ben tradition. Hes been the boss of the mutuel wickets since 1925. As in the past two "years a local firm of certified public accountants has been engaged by Ak-Sar-Ben to check and double check all pari-mutuel operations. "We have found engagement of public accountants for our last two meetings an excellent means of building and maintaining public confidence." W. H. Schellberg, chairman of the Ak-Sar-Ben racing committee, told the Daily Racing Form. Blue prints arrived last week for installation of the Powers Multiple camera eye, and Ak-Sar-Ben officials are preparing to make necessary changes at the plant. The judges stand, at present so constructed that it would interfere with the camera eye, will be moved to the center field rail. RECORD ENTRY LIST. With all indications pointing to a record entry list for the meeting, racing secretary Julius G. Reeder has approved applications for more than a hundred thoroughbreds that campaigned at the recent Oak-lawn Park meeting at Hot Springs. Reeder informer chairman Schellberg that nominations made to date indicate a swing to horses capable of going a distance of ground; so his conditions book will list more route races than were held last season. W. E. Ball was one of the early arrivals, checking in from Hot Springs with Jawapa, Boon Time, Star Cluster, Galeway and Henry Daw. Jake Levitt has reserved stall space for his consistent runners. Cablegram, Sackawawa, Alma Mae, My Model and Tide Time.
