ROMAN SOLIDIERS CAREER Col. Phil T. Chinn, Kentucky breeder, was the first to recognize the possibilities of Roman Soldier as a race horse. After Roman Soldier had been rejected as a yearling without a bid in the Saratoga Sales, Colonel Chinn purchased him privately. He later sold the horse to MajrHirsch, who, in turn, sold him to E. Sachsenmaier. Last year Sachsenmaier refused 0,000 for Romaa Soldier and retired him to the stud.
