1 NARRAGANSETT PARK NOTES o The first contingent of the horse cavalcade coming from California to Narragansett Park reached Pawtucket early Thursday afternoon when two railroad horse specials brought in more than thirty head. Included were fourteen Oaktree Stable thoroughbreds trained by William Hartman. A second two-car shipment from California will reach Narragansett Park Sunday. This will include horses of J. J. Dolan and R. L. Jenkins. Fourteen horses trained by L. E. Ogle will arrive at Narragansett Park from Havre de Grace early Friday morning, according to word received by the secretarys office Thursday. Accompanying the stable wille the sensational young apprentice rider 1L Eccard. A Hirsch Jacobs, Brooklyn sportsman, whoV gave up raising pigeons to become the na- tions leading trainer of thoroughbreds for 1 the last four years, notified the racing secretarys office that a division of his powerful stable would arrive at Narragansett Park next Tuesday in charge of trainer A. J. Bedell, who handled the Jacobs string at Narragansett Park last year.
