DEL MAR TRACK ONE MHE New Crosby Course at San Diego , Also Boasts of Chutes. Numerous .Movie Stars; Directors and Others Connected With Jockey Club-List o Stakes. SAN DIEGO, Calif., April 22. The Del Mar track is one mile with chutes. It has a splendid cushion, wide turns and lots of room on the straightaways. The paddock is within a few feet of the clubhouse, which practically adjoins the covered grandstand. President Bing Crosbys board of directors include the following: Pat OBrien, vice-president of the Del Mar Turf Club; Charles S. Howard, owner of Seabiscuit and other great horses; Kent Allen, prominent attorney, and William A. Quigley, director of racing. William Le Baron has for a board to assist him with the Del Mar Jockey Club George Raft, Pandro S. Berman, Harry Cohn, Howard Hawks, Louis D. Lighton, Wesley Ruggles and Bogart Rogers, all big names in the motion picture world. Among other members of the movie colony, financially and otherwise interested in the track, are Joe E. Brown, Walter Connolly, Frank Lloyd, Spencer Tracy, Robert Riskln, Leon Gordon, Constance Bennett, Raoul Walsh and scores of others. RACING OFFICIALS. Del Mars racing officials: William A. Quigley, presiding steward and director of racing; Charles Hartwell, associate steward, and A. K. Macomber, representing the California Horse Racing Board; Hayward Morrison, racing secretary, and judges John Maluvius, Barry Whitehead and Hayward Morrison. Manager of mutuels, Edward Deen. General manager, Willard F. Tunney. E. N. Crosby is secretary-treasurer of the Del Mar Turf Club, and Robert O. Pfleger is assistant secretary-treasurer.
