TEDDYS COMET forced his way through when in close quarters early, stood strong pressure gamely In the final quarter and, after wearing down PIN MONEY, could not draw away. The latter had speed from the start and held on courageously in a good effort. ARMOR BEARER, away well but taken back when racing very wide on the turn, raced behind horses as he saved ground in the stretch and was not strongly persevered with in the late stages. ENTREE, forced to race wide, began to improve her position after three-eighths and, holding on well after taking command, withstood MARIE JEANS rush. The latter, near the middle of the track throughout and probably best, steadily made up ground after about three-eighths and, closing strongly, was wearing down the winner. SCREEN tired, but outstayed ELANBEE. The latter showed speed from the start, swerved out on the stretch turn and tired thereafter. TOMYE saved ground, but gave way badly after showing speed to the final cishth. COURT began fast, but failed to keep up. CUBANETTE was taken back at the start. Scratched 40224Brilliant Stone, 106. KHAR FAIR, racing well up from the start, responded to strong pressure after reaching the final five-sixteenths and, holding on well, outstayed JUDGE HASTEN. The latter, under light restraint for about three-eighths, fought it out gamely in the long drive, but was not good enough. PRENNY rushed into command on the inside, began to falter after a half mile, but outlasted EXECUTRIX. The latter, away slowly, made up ground approaching the turn, but could not improve its position thereafter, WINSOME LASSIE quit. PATS DAUGHTER lacked speed and was always far back. GREY STREAK, much the best and sharply blocked soon after the start, came around the leaders when moving up without need of strong pressure and drew out fast in the final eighth, but had something left. ADOLF saved ground throughout and rushed to the lead in the first three-sixteenths, shook off BLUE GAUNTLET entering the stretch and, holding on well, outstayed MYSTIC SIGN. The latter, away in motion, was rated along under restraint for a half mile, came out slightly in the stretch and held on well. BLUE GAUNTLET had speed from the start, was on the outside for a half mile and swerved to the inside when tiring thereafter. WESTERN SLOPE was outrun. Scratched 38255 Airy Going, 111. Won easily; second and third driving. TEDDY GREEN, going in his best form and rated under steady restraint for about five-eighths, overtook KERMAY with a rush approaching the stretch, swerved out sharply after opening up a commanding lead when he shied away from photographers in the starters stand at the sixteenth post, but continued strongly when straightened to win with something in reserve. KERMAY had good speed and saved ground after the first eighth, but readily gave way to the winner and tired in the stretch. MAIN MAN suffered light interference at the first turn, lost ground throughout and became very tired alter three-quarters, swerving in the late stages. SOLAR HAWK, carried out by PARIS PRINCE on the first turn, never threatened. PARIS PRINCE bore out on the first turn. PENNINE was through early. Scratched 40171 Tcdall, 110. SILVER FLEET was on the outside, throughout, ENCIRCLE under mild pressure to keep up early, tired in the final quarter. HILFAIR had no excuses. MT. SARD dropped out of it right after the start. INTRODUCTORY, under mild restraint for five-eighths, could not menace the winner when called upon, but easily held the others. ODDESA CLARK saved ground throughout and tired near the end. GUSTAVIA made a weak bid near the end. OLD DEAL had good early speed, then bore out turning into the back stretch and tired. The others were outrun. Scratched 40173 Golden Nut, 120.
