In addition to the Derby, he has scheduled two handicaps, one over a distance of the Oak-lawn Course and the other at a mile and a sixteenth, bringing together the best sprinters and routers in this section. The Derby will attract most attention and offers the most representative field that has went post-ward since the inauguration of the event. Tiger, a strong contender for the Kentucky Derby, will very probably rule the favorite because of his recent good workout, while Gov. Chandler, which won two races over a distance, will loom as a close second choice. Don Moss, beaten a narrow margin last out, is the "dark" horse in the Derby. Invaders from New Orleans include Allan-wood, Dolly Val and Feng. All are regarded as outsiders in the betting and as having little chance to annex the ,000 added fixture, which will serve as the major event of the thirty-day race meeting under the auspices of the Oaklawn Jockey Club.
