AJAX ANOTHER PHAR LAP? SAN MATEO, Calif., April 1. Lloyd Huff, well-known San Francisco turf follower, who recently returned from a trip to Australia, states that horsemen of the Antipodes believe they have another Phar Lap in Ajax, a three-year-old which has been showing surprising, form. "Ajax is owned by a group of millionaires, who race purely for the sport," said Huff. "And there is little chance of him being shipped to this country." Huff reports that during a trip through the Australian museum, he saw the mounted hide of Phar Lap, which is on exhibition there.
