BEGIN SCHOOLING AT DOWNS COURSE MONDAY LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 1. While some schooling has been done at Keeneland, spring sessions of this important education of the racing thoroughbreds will not commence here until Monday, when William Hamilton, veteran Keeneland and Churchill Downs starter, arrives from Hot Springs. A week ago Hamilton sent William C. Daly, Ohio starter, to Keeneland to inaugurate schooling, but as weather and track conditions have been unfavorable, little headway was possible. After he places assistants in charge of that work at Churchill Downs and Douglas Park, Hamilton will proceed to Lexing ton and take over, the schooling and starting there. Present figures indicate that the number of two-year-olds awaiting starting education in Kentucky is greater than in many years possibly a record.
