VISCAYA PURSE DRAWS NINE Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs Sweet Patrice Probable Choice in Feature at Tropical Park. CORAL GABLES, Fla., April 1. Nine stars of the juvenile colony have been entered in the ,000 Viscaya Stakes of four furlongs, the most important test for two-year-olds of the meeting which holds the chief position on the racing card at Tropical Park this afternoon. Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs Sweet Patrice, triple winner at the Gables track, and second to Charlotte Girl in the fillies Nursery Stakes at Hialeah, is the early favorite for the Viscaya. The fleet brown daughter of Halcyon has never been beaten over the Gables track and with Eddie Arcaro. up, she should attract much support. Rounding out the field are Townsend B. Martins Throttle Wide, J. A. Healeys Jack Horner, William H. Gallaghers Kate Smith, Paragon Stables Roidef, River Divide Farms Handiboy, G. C. Scotts Blue Star and Mrs. Henry Dattners Wise Hildred. William Vincent Dwyer, managing director of the Gables Racing Association, is preparing for one of the largest week-end crowds of the meeting a3 supporting the Viscaya Purse will be a powerful card of seven well filled races.
